The Turner Storm Chasers booster club is a sub-committee for the Big Flat Community Grain Bin, and as such all of its activities fall under the scope of the 501(c)(3). The club maintains its own volunteer board of directors and bank account. The group manages the concession stand during varsity basketball games and has purchased things like athletic uniforms and even a protective covering for the gym floor to use during community events like prom. This group was fundraising for new bleachers in the gym. Unfortunately, that project would require engineering the structure of the building to complete and the bleachers are on hold. The group did currently apply for a grant through AgWest Farm Credit to replace the gym floor, projected to cost approximately $160,000. They hope to receive word of that in the coming weeks.
